Besides the development team released three new maps: the old cs_italy (yes with chickens), a new St. Marc map for the demolition mode and de_dust2_se.

With this weeks update Valve added a complete new mode to the CS:GO Beta - Arsenal Mode. It's a kind of the well known Gungame-Mode. More details about the mode we will give you in the news.

On the "Xbox Spring Showcase" in San Fransisco Valve announced the planned release date for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Besides a new updates was released which normaly should be released already on friday but because of some bugs it was moved to today.

This Sunday we will be running the first CS:GO tournament here on ESL. Due to some problems with the date, we decided to run the whole tournament on one day showing you three matches on ESL TV and more on other streams. The show will start at 18:00 CET with some prime time CS:GO matches brought to you by Joe Miller!

Valve tries to update their new Counter-Strike version every friday evening. Last night it was time again. Besides many bugs were fixed and the gameplay has been changed in a few things. Furthermore the quickmatch map has been changed to "de_train".

Now it's finally time for the CS:GO beta keys here on ESL. 100 keys are available to grab here on ESL.eu and another 150 keys go to the various national sections. On ESL.eu just have to join the brand new 1on1 Ladder for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive to participate. Check the details in the news!

Counter-Strike has a long and distinguished history here at ESL. It's one of the games that is always there in the big tournaments. This weekend eight teams will have the chance to play for €500 in the kickoff tournament! But that's not all. Every month we will have tournaments open to everybody with a total prize money of up to €1,000! Prepare yourself for massive Counter-Strike action!

The ESL provides one of the first "real" servers worldwide. We have tested this server on sunday with some Admin vs. User gathers in the German section. The test showed that you want to play CS:GO as soon as possible and as much as possible. Therefore we will start a gather marathon together with the german section on wednesday.

Since last thursday the official stresstest is over and Valve has started the beta. Only a few days later a new update was released in which Valve has changed some settings on the feedback of the community.
